Tim Chester, vice president for information technology, Enterprise Information Technology Services
Tim has over 25 years of experience in state-supported and private higher education institutions, focusing primarily on large-scale business transformation efforts, including on-time, on-budget ERP implementations (Oracle PeopleSoft, Ellucian Banner). These initiatives have facilitated increased revenue and stronger student outcomes through improved use of data and analytics. Beyond business transformation, he is an expert practitioner in developing mature information security programs for large, geographically distributed enterprises with 50,000+ users, working to virtually eliminate data disclosures. Tim is also a noted author with over a dozen publications in the field. As vice president for information technology at UGA, he provides the thought leadership and tactical perspectives necessary to guide the university in developing effective IT.
Kiel Norris, associate director for continuing education, UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel
Kiel has more than 18 years of higher education experience specializing in administration and strategic planning for noncredit continuing education programming. Kiel holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in history, a master’s degree in business administration from Columbus State University and is currently pursuing a PhD in public administration from Valdosta State University.
