Securing Grants, Assuring Impact: What You Need to Know About Grants in PSO

In Public Service and Outreach, grant funding has the power to help us amplify impact and reach communities that need our services most. While the process of seeking and securing grants can be daunting, some of our PSO colleagues have a wealth of experience to share in this area. This session will explore the renewed focus on grants within PSO, including how members of PSO can leverage grants to support PSO initiatives, make more impact across the state, and collaborate with partners both inside and outside of UGA.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe ways grants support the strategic goals of PSO
  • Engage with leadership about supporting the grant process
  • Learn how to access UGA resources available to support the grant process

Target Audience: PSO faculty and staff

Leslie’s professional interests are informed by a childhood introduction to volunteering with her mother, an early career as a newspaper reporter covering education as well as state and local government, and a deep appreciation for the role of public education in shaping her own life.
